Slow Drift 03:32
Razor Tongue, apologise, The greater good, we are allies, A drowning man, rage misplaced, Squeeze the life out, what a waste.

Know It All 02:23
Shift the blame to, anyone but me Somebody should think about it, Somebody should take the lead, Somebody should put their hand up, Somebody should lead us out of here But no one likes a know it all Shift the blame to, anyone but me It's funny how much I think about it, It's funny how much I read, I should put my hand up, I should lead us out of here But no one liked a know it all
4.
Complex 03:48
Cautious, shy, a waste of time, If only I knew how to say the things I mean to say in much, less time. But the chance has slipped away, and may never be mine. On an empty stomach, the beer affects me quick, though my nerves subside, much slower than I'd like, cos these moments with you pass faster than blinking eyes, and you know mine don't work at the best of times. You said I like complex but not complicated, complex but not complicated, is this more complex, more complicated, than it needs to be. You observe me close, I think I like to be seen, I listen to your phrasing your southern vocabulary, and the ease and confidence with which you speak, its all so attractive to me. We flee the scene I head north and you head south, the red moon behind me, a smile creeps from my mouth, at the end of a day I wouldn't change and will never, never doubt.

about

Rhiannon Scutt Sheffield, UK

Evolution through Rhiannon’s music is clear. A shift from her first rootsy duo Rita Payne, through a period of introspective work developing as a lyricist. Now working with a grittier sound, she maintains her beautiful and at times uncomfortable lyrics, experimenting with world-class musicians, who's combined sound converge where distorted guitars, live strings meet drum machines and jazz trumpet. ... more
